Message from the Chairman
Poverty comes in many shapes, sizes and colors, hence it is impractical and inadvisable to attempt an uniform definition for poverty. It is a comparative statement. When we look people above us, we consider ourselves as poor, but when we look on those below us, then we feel otherwise. Most of the poverty around us is man-made due to inequitable and unjustified distribution of resources and wealth system. Access to credit is a powerful tool by which the poor can honestly attempt to overcome some of the barriers imposed on them and play a vital role for eradication of poverty.
